Pay is good, rotating shift schedule is awesome good for vacation time
Cons
The dumbest managers ever, I’m not mad about what it is but what it should be, they have no idea how to schedule batches and will have one operator running 5 different reactors
They offer decent pay, attention to safety , mini shift and rotating shifts available, good benefits and an excellent retirement program to participate in.
Cons
I have no cons to list as I was quite pleased with my time while there
Hr Dept is horrible, along with management, no accountability, misleading employees about pay and schedule. Issues are never resolved regardless how high up the ladder you go, rotating shifts every week
The payscale is behind the current economic times. The management loves to make faux promises to people to get them to stay. Management has not a clue the morale is so bad. Weekly rotating shifts. A lot of work on one person with very minimum pay. Don't ever mention a pay raise.
I like the people I work with. Everyone is easy to get along with. The job is demanding at times, but everything can get done at your own pace, which is nice and less stressful. Retirement match up to 5%. Extremely safety orientated workplace.
Cons
There is no air conditioning out in the field and not really any heat, so your day depends on the weather. No sick time. Not enough pay for the shop. This is the only place I know where the shop makes less money than production. Straight first shift has mandatory overtime every week. The other shift is rotating 12hrs. Both shifts do not leave enough time for family. No paid maternity or paternity leave.
