Pros
Our values of empathy, respect, compassion, togetherness, openness and transparency are just what the sufferer needs. Stigma, a judgemental atitude are not to be found in Mindwise staff, which sadly is still not the case elsewhere in society.
Cons
Of course some cynics will say volunteering is 'not a real job', whilst the same people would not even consider employing someone who has had and MH issues.

I have found my team is extremely supportive and overall the organisation put effort into hearing employee concerns and helping employees develop, especially with training.
Cons
It is a challenging job but that is part of the challenges with the overall mental health system
