Pros

They start out their employees at a VERY high compensation.

Cons

The high compensation is not worth working at a practice that I wouldn't even feel comfortable taking my own animal companion to for healthcare. I have witnessed the owner and primary Doctor, Kent Taylor, yell at fellow co-workers and back hand an employee during a euthanasia while clients were present. Please save your worries and stresses and DO NOT COME NEAR THIS PRACTICE!

Pros

- Starting Pay - Bill, the talking parrot - Kittens - Wendy

Cons

- Absolutely no culture and values - Really hostile working environment - As an employee you're pushed to sell extremely expensive tests that many times customer's don't necessarily need and come up inconclusive - Really cruel and uncaring Veterinarian who only cares about profits and is verbally abusive to staff members. Surprised he has not been reported for abuse - once, an employee was bitten by an extremely aggressive cat. He refused to give her gardening gloves - demanded that she take them off when she wore them - and when she was bitten he did not care. Another time, said employee had an anxiety attack and he laughed in her face though she was medically diagnosed for anxiety.

Pros

Getting to take care of adoptable kittens and Bill the Parrot

Cons

The doctor is aweful. While he was never physically aggressive to myself or the other staff members he was often verbally aggressive even to his wife Wendy. It is not uncommon for him to yell at his staff and blame them for things out of their control or for something someone else did. This hospital is a revolving door and because of this new employees are trained by people who have only been there for a few months and also don't know what they're doing. They are always short staffed and his wife often has to pick up the slack and work at the hospital even though she has another job. On two occasions I heard him threaten to throw an animal at a wall if they did not cooperate with him. I personally would never allow him to treat my pets and I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. Save yourself and do not work or bring your pets here!
