Pros

Pay is always on time. The people who work there are all super friendly.

Cons

This place is a train wreck with tons of turn over. In the past four years, the marketing team has had four different leaders, and the sales executives have been promoted, demoted, moved around the country, and have switched sectors multiple times. No wonder sales are down. If you didn't know the definition of nepotism all you have to do is work a day for MityLite, where the CEO employes whoever he wants with or without credentials. He may even give them a shiny new office.

Pros

- Pretty much anyone below executive level are salt-of-the-earth, good people to work with. - Was able to move up during the years I worked there, received a raise

Cons

- Despite receiving a raise, was denied equipment I needed to do my job well. Had to improvise, productivity wasn't to my standard. - Most all of the upper management was terrible. Nice on the surface, but when it came down to it, they were pretty rotten, always seeking more acquisitions, more employee time, more employee commitment... demanding everything be given to the company with not so much given back. So much toxicity trickled down, and trust me—the average employee felt it. - Don't do well with listening to input... set in their ways, and slow to adapt. - The facility itself is a factory, so it can feel really grimy. Cleanliness was always a question.

New leader, newly improved situation

Pros

As of this week we have a new President, he's the former COO and he’s the bomb. Open-minded, fair, smart, even-tempered. No more abusive emails from the former CEO, which he was notorious for. The new leader is willing to change with the times, not just paying lip service to it, but truly acting on it. He's everything a leader should be. The morale in sales and marketing departments has improved a lot, now that certain people (like the horrible wife of the former CEO) don’t have nepotism to fall back on. It’s a perfect time to work here (finally) because everyone can truly make a difference now. These are exciting times for Mity, for real. Great, collaborative coworkers, truly down to earth people. The senior leadership is fantastic now. CFO is a great boss, the culture in his team is great. The EVP of marketing, same thing she's fantastic. Leaders in operations are also great. Everyone is a blast to work with.

Cons

There are a lot of slow moving projects that have been made nearly impossible to make progress on, due to poor decisions made by people who worked here in the past. Now we all deal with those mistakes and are working through them. Our employee turnover has been high here so we’re constantly short-staffed. But now that we have a new, greatly improved situation, that’s all changing as we speak.
