Pros

Central Buckhead Location Great food nearby Flexible hours

Cons

When I worked at Mobile App Hero, I didn't get paid for my work until 7 months after I left. My boss was misogynistic and created an unsafe work environment. My work was unappreciated and undervalued. The company insisted that I would be payed, and insisted that I keep working, even though they silently refused to sign my employment contract. The company gave unreasonable timelines for projects and tasks. Lack of strong leadership and organization.

I have to be honest; I am not sure why it has taken me so long to respond to this “review.” I tried to get it removed because I question if this is a real person and Glassdoor does zero validation of these reviews. This review is from a person claiming to be from a former employee. I do not believe this post accurately represents any individual's experience with Mobile App Hero for several reasons: * Nature of Work and Compensation: Firstly, it's important to clarify that Mobile App Hero has historically engaged with interns and contract workers, rather than full-time employees, People saying their were a full time employee are simply not telling the truth. during the period mentioned. Our interns participate in an unpaid learning experience focusing on gaining valuable industry insights and skills. If the internship turns into a contract, workers are compensated upon completing their agreed-upon deliverables, which are consistent with the practices within our industry. * Safety and Environment: I take the safety and well-being of everyone who works with us very seriously. To date, we have not had any reports or incidents that would suggest an unsafe or uncomfortable working environment. We encourage open communication and have mechanisms in place for addressing any concerns promptly and thoroughly. * Allegations of Misogyny: (If you know me at all, you know this is not true) The accusation of misogyny is particularly troubling and without basis. I pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and respectful workspace for people of all backgrounds. Without specific details or examples, such claims are not only harmful but misleading. * Authenticity of the Post: The lack of specific details and the misrepresentation of our work arrangements lead us to question the authenticity of this post. It's unfortunate that platforms can be used to spread misinformation that can harm the reputation of businesses striving to create positive and productive work environments. We are committed to transparency and integrity in all our operations. If anyone has concerns or feedback about their experience with Mobile App Hero, we strongly encourage direct communication with me. I am dedicated to continuous improvement and sincerely value constructive feedback. For those reading this response, I only ask you to do a bit more research or talk to any of the many people who we helped get their first opportunity in Tech. I am always open to addressing concerns and sharing more about our mission to provide meaningful learning and working experiences in the tech industry.

Pros

Growth opportunities, autonomy, ability to push outside your comfort zone. The founder has a strong work ethic and expects the same from others. While there is an expectation to exceed in providing outstanding service to clients, the founder sets a great example and tone as a servant leader.

Cons

Unfortunately, I was looking for more hours

My main issue with this review is that the person got an unpaid internship, was paid for something, and found something wrong with that. They received the work experience they needed and used that experience to get other opportunities but gave a negative review, which is unfair. Again glassdoor does zero validation of these reviews. the review has they worked at Mobile App Hero as employee for more then an year, but the reviewer says, they worked here for 4months. Nature of Work and Compensation: It's important to clarify that Mobile App Hero has historically engaged with interns and contract workers rather than full-time employees. People saying they were full-time employees simply did not tell the truth during the period mentioned. Our interns participate in an unpaid learning experience focusing on gaining valuable industry insights and skills. If the internship turns into contract work, they are compensated upon completing their agreed-upon deliverables, which are consistent with the practices within our industry. "Pay your employees a salary or don't hire them". This statement is an example of missing the point of the work we are doing. You were an intern and I kept my part of our agreement. You got some "React Native" Experience that you use to get a job; again, plenty of other people did the same thing. For those reading this response, I only ask you to do more research or talk to any of the many people we helped get their first opportunity in Tech. I am always open to addressing concerns and sharing more about our mission to provide meaningful learning and working experiences in the tech industry.
