#1 At appraisal, all your "flexibility" became your "barrier". And there is no "Overtime" here, but only "Passion Time"; bosses expects your should work voluntarily towards Company's success.
#2 Get ready to have PTSD at receiving bosses call. One famous line from bosses is, "Why didn't you pick up my call after work?"; another real-story is, the day before your approved Annual Leave, bosses smiled and promise they won't find you or call you on your AL; the next day you are at beach enjoying the sunshine, your mobile rings... and their first question is, "You are on leave today?"
#3 You better start planning your weight-losing; you have a lot "biscuit" to eat here. And don't underestimate yourself, coz even your title is just "programmer", one day, bosses might just come in and say "You, starting from today you are Project Manager!". Salary raise? PASSION TIME!!
#4 You do, but not from the company, but from your own study. No support from the company, everything is "work on your own" with "comments from bosses", note, its comment (or critizing), NOT support.
#5 Bosses claimed their business model is successful and there are tons of chances incoming, yet every year's package review starts with "we had a hard year..."
#6 Don't get fooled by their daily smiles, there's surely a knife hidden behind. Every promises they made, they simply wish you will forget eventually; they never proactively fulfill their promises, until you stood up for it.
#7 The working team is really good, the synergy is good as well (exlcuding bosses). However, always short on resources, and there is no "senior" staff (and I think you know why after reading all the points above).
