Pros

- As a boutique firm, I thought I got more opportunities to work a lot more closely with cases/issue areas than I would have at a larger firm. As someone who was interested in pursuing law school, it was a good way to figure out what lawyers actually do and get a better sense of what different practice areas might look like. - My day-to-day work was generally varied and I found that I was given a lot of trust and responsibility given that I was working in an entry-level position. For the most part, I found my work to be interesting and challenging. - I enjoyed working with the different attorneys I was supporting. There’s generally a good office culture, including among the admin staff—each office is small enough that you get to know everyone else fairly well. - I got to work with a lot of very smart people. I found that a lot of attorneys were happy to explain things to me or answer any questions I might have about a future legal career/law school. It felt supportive.

Cons

- Because I was frequently working on tasks for attorneys across three different offices, it could sometimes be a little difficult to clearly communicate expectations, since the bulk of our communication was online. - While I found most attorneys were accommodating and respectful of personal obligations/overtime requests, occasionally, there were last minute requests for overtime.
