Thriving At Work

Pros

The best part about working with Momentous Financial Partners (MFP) is the culture. The team dynamic centers around gratitude, development (personal & professional), and celebrating wins. Coming from a corporate management role where it was difficult to be anything more than reactionary, I now feel like I’m thriving at work. These folks don’t dwell on negativity. Work processes are thoughtful and intentional, but more importantly, set to my schedule. As a stay at home mom, having the flexibility to decide when and how long to work, has been a blessing. If the “relentless pursuit of personal growth” is your mantra, then you will love the atmosphere at MFP. Everyone has a vested interest in your success and the belief that, your business grows when you grow. From the start, you’ll be aligned with a mentor and running buddies picked based on your unique leadership traits. These folks will inspire, empower and challenge you to reach the goals you set. There is always someone to help, even if it’s “after hours”, or last minute. You’ll also be expected to schedule time into your day for things that benefit your wellbeing, like meditation, reading, and moving your body. Another core value at MFP is “having fun and getting stuff done,”and they hold true to this. As someone who geeks-out about optimized processes, I dig the tech here. Software is modern and functional, but most importantly, makes my job easier. I also appreciate that MFP has promised to continue evolving on this front, not only to stay current, but to blaze new trails in the industry. They have a cutting-edge scaffolding for training and development, and just rolled out their latest upgrade called, Summit - a system for learning that is personalized for your path and timeframe. Following the system, I was able to jump right into the business, gain immediate traction and landed my first promotion - Seasoned New Agent - in three weeks. At MFP, “relationships and people come first.” This core value is frequently demonstrated via daily calls centered around training, leaderboards and spotlighting new talent; acceptance of work-life integration; genuine service to others; 360-degree feedback; as well as warmth and camaraderie all around. For those who enjoy customer service, there’s a good deal of time spent with your clients and quite frankly, this isn’t a thankless job - the service we provide is life changing. There will be great rewards, not only in time and money, but the feel-good kind. Now to part you’ve really been wondering… how’s the pay? I’ll be straightforward - if you want to make full-time money in part-time hours, you 100% can. Follow the system. Stay close to the camp fire. Be open, self-aware and coachable. How about a full-time position, you ask? If you enjoy mentoring leaders and team-building, there’s a chance for creating unlimited wealth. It’s the only job I’ve heard of that consistently provides a six-figure-income to folks without requiring eight to twelve years of schooling. In fact the barrier to entry is quite low - a few weeks of licensing coursework and a couple hundred dollars to get setup working from home. If you made it to the end of this review, you might be feeling like this job sounds a little too good to be true. I can assure you it’s not. I had that exact thought at the beginning of my transition to MFP, because I was accustomed to the corporate ladder and companies that kept so much money at the top. It was hard to believe something better existed and if so, why wasn’t everyone doing it? I started out part-time in this business initially, just to get a good look at the inner-workings, before I made the leap away from my salaried position. It can be frightening to make a change, but I decided I was more afraid of staying the same. How about you?

Cons

None for me so far. This opportunity has been a blessing.

Pros

Working as a true team with folks from all walks of life and backgrounds while learning and striving to help as many people as possible. How many in this world can say that they honestly look forward to Monday morning meetings? I can!

Cons

Learning to be successful here requires one to be coachable and humble enough to take advice of mentors. Like all growth, this involves a measure of growing pain. (But I haven't gotten any taller!)

Pros

I love coming to work each day! The culture at MFP is positive and value-driven. This is the first place I have worked that truly lives, works and breathes their core values every single day. It is so much more than just a piece of paper on the wall. The only limits to your success are self-imposed. If you are willing to be coachable, be a team player, follow the proven system and get out of your comfort zone, then you can achieve whatever goals you have set for yourself through this opportunity. Just put in the work and don't quit.

Cons

I have heard many times that we are a personal development company that just happens to sell insurance. This is an apt description. Building this business will reveal things to you about yourself that you were not aware of or that you have buried beneath the persona you show to the world. This isn't really a negative, but it does not always feel good in the moment. However, momentary discomfort is sometimes required in order to grow and develop into the best version of yourself.
