Good Compensation and Benefits. Finance/Accounting very difficult to work with
Pros
- Solid pay rate - Great benefits - A lot of holidays off that most companies do not have - Very friendly and accommodating HR department
Cons
- Finance/Accounting department is beyond difficult to work for or with. - If you do not fit in with their "clique" they make it uncomfortable to work there - A lot of high school type dramatics and talking behind people's backs is a regular thing there - Unwilling to change. Let the same incompetent people run the show in the finance/accounting department who constantly set the entire team back with their dated ways of working. - Entire finance/accounting teams lives in Microsoft Excel when the company just invested thousands of dollars into a very high quality accounting system that can make their lives easier. They choose not to trust the system and work like it is 1998.
