Middling pay, environment full of criticism
Pros
They're willing to hire people who are just getting started with their careers and will train people up. Staff has a great camaraderie together and are very welcoming.
Cons
First off, the firm has made staff work from the office during the pandemic, despite the fact that they have all the capabilities to let people work remotely. Like many older lawyers, the partners here are rather technophobic (one of them refuses to use a computer at all), but even though they have a full remote access system they can use for their files, they make people come in. Pay is on the low end for assistants and attorneys. All work comes in for hefty criticism, but praise is rare, so not the place for sensitive types. The partners' standards for work product often change arbitrarily, which makes it difficult to figure out what they want.
