Pros

Historically always great people to work with. Many people maintain friendships outside and after working here. Most staff has turned over the past year so unclear if that is still true. Company events such as trips to Mexico. Excellent path to transition to a career at PG&E or other utility A few strong leaders making things work

Cons

CEO regularly verbally abuses people including expletive laced name calling. Sells itself as management consulting but is a utility staffing company CEO controls and micro manages every aspect of the company Company often says one thing and does the opposite No senior leadership to mentor and grow staff outside of project controls job functions Back office leader is power drunk and seems to enjoy making life difficult for the staff Main goal of the company seems to be to feed the CEO's ego

Pros

Good for unexperienced and recent graduates

Cons

1. Bad for experienced professionals 2. Poor Benefits 3. Low Pay 4. Work lacks challenges, lack of growth in terms of career opportunities 5. Most "big clients" on the website have been for projects that you would expect a small firm such as this one to do (implement a project management tool). Don't expect large challenging projects that large consulting firms undertake. This company simply does the small projects so they can add the "client" to their webpage. 6. Clique mentality. CEO has a "special group" of employee she labels Angels Charlies who essential are her little drones

Pros

There are some great non-management level individuals that are extremely smart and have a lot of potential to be great leaders ...just not at MP.

Cons

MP does not have a good human resource management strategy in place that will entice their employees and motivate them to want to continue working there. Their leadership lacks structure and respect towards their employees. The work is mundane and unfulfilling. Do not be swayed with the high paying salary. The medical benefits are atrociously expensive and NOT the most competitive in the market (especially if you have or are wanting to have kids). The CEO reminds me of a 1970's highly intoxicated hippie during a Woodstock or Burning Man. She leads by intimidation because she herself seems like a very insecure person. She has a lot to learn when it comes to managing experienced individuals who understand employee rights and ethical practices. The mission statement and the core values listed on the website are not practiced internally. "We do what we say and say what we do..." Okay...sure.
