Pros

Most of the non management staff are ok! But you will either be reading this because your about to join and want to know if the stuff people say is true! Or you've joined and thought what the hell have I done

Cons

Wow where to start!! Yes the Motortrade is a hard job, but it does have a lot of rewards and an enjoyable most of the time. But Motorvogue has a 80/90s attitude to car sales and how to treat staff! Expect you to work your back side off and do 11-13 days straight and then, they just find fault with everything you do! You'd hope you get paid well for that! Wrong again, they like to dangle that carrot, but never materialises!. But on a positive note, you will make plenty of friends as the staff turnover is so bad it's almost pointless leaning people's names as most leave as quick as they joined! The place is such a toxic environment that the managers they do have are so worried about the grief from above, constantly complain but instantly throw you under a bus to save their own skin! Want to start a career in the Motortrade? This isn't a true reflection of that. If your experienced and thinking of joining?? then ask people you know before you join! Won't find many that say nice things. Only the staff who that are told to put good reviews as they're struggling to recruit! Good Luck

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our company. It is incredibly disappointing to read the contents of your review. Most of our teams including Senior Managers and Sales Controllers, have been at dealerships across the Group for long periods of time but there are of course occasions where the employer-employee relationship does not work out. Sales staff are contracted to work an average 5.5 day week and our Sales Managers plan the rotas in line with this requirement. We appreciate that a target driven environment involves commitment and hard work but those who achieve their targets are rewarded financially based on their pay plan. We are committed to continual improvement and therefore welcome ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism.

Pros

Some of the staff were fantastic. They stayed upbeat, they were welcoming and hard working. However they agreed with me that the business needs to look after staff and customers better.

Cons

Where to start. This company is backwards. They do everything they can to con their customers. They charge a £150 “admin fee” that pays for stuff that is free through the dvla. You can only put £5 worth of fuel in a demo and £13 in a sold car, if you put more they deduct it out of your wages. They knew I was starting a month in advance and when i left i still did not have any log ins. All in all a terrible company to work for.

Thank you for leaving a review of your time with Motorvogue. We are very proud of our staff who you rightly say are hard working. Many businesses charge Admin fees, and we are upfront about this fee with our customers. This covers not only the work done through the DVLA but many other aspects of the purchase too. It is not uncommon for businesses to have cost control measures in place, and staff are made aware of these policies, as indeed you were. We are sorry you did not enjoy your short time working for Motorvogue and wish you the best with your future career.

Pros

Company car, but this is a con also.

Cons

You get screwed on company car tax, they pool it out over the staff. Worse conditions to work in. No training at all, management are a complete waste of space without a clue as to your basic rights. Any opportunity taken to screw you from benefits or income etc.
