unacceptable working conditions e.g. no blinds for the windows, multiple health and safety hazards, no fire exit and on the top floor, fire extinguishers were never tested, first aid kit 10 years out of date. No sanitary bins until it was raised by multiple members of staff. The storage/meeting room was also the lunch space. We were not allowed a toaster or a microwave until recently because management did not like 'smelly food'. Staff are extremely overworked for the pittance they earn, overtime is unpaid and with no praise or words of encouragement from senior staff. Support from management is non-existent, you have to break down in tears for help to be offered. You are expected to work back time for doctors appointments and funerals! Employees are pressured into coming to work while sick (it was not uncommon for people to vomit or faint in the toilets and return to their desks). No progression within the company unless management personally like you. The clinical team leader does not talk to you, unapproachable and difficult to ask questions to. Any criticism towards management is swept under the carpet, never addressed or taken on board.
