Excellent Opportunities/Room for Advancements
Pros
For a lot of people, rain days are a pro. They give you time to relax after busy weeks and get your tunnel/equipment checked out. There is still a lot to do on those rain days, but they are a lot less stressful than our high-volume days. There is ALWAYS an opportunity to make more than your hourly rate, every day. Especially in the winter when we're busiest, the commission and bonus payout days really add up on that paycheck.
Cons
The biggest downside to this job would have to be the extreme weather. Staying warm and bundled up in the winter and hydrated in the summer is the key to maintaining motivation at this workplace. Other than that, you have to deal with angry customers sometimes, but that comes with any job. Overall, I say it's about your perspective, how you look at this job and life itself.
