Thriving in a startup culture

Pros

- Flat hierarchy, no politics - Colleagues/team is friendly, good dynamics, people are definitely not a problem here - Some incentive to help you grow in your role, like book/courses claims - Barely any OT is needed although sometimes some replies are expected after work hours, but generally the bosses don't impose unless it is really urgent - Relaxed environment where there's a gym and chilling space. If you're really tired on some days, you can just excuse yourself to get a quick nap to catch up on sleep

Cons

- Being a startup where the business is constantly finding better ways to improve, there are bound to be uncertainties with some roles. There will be new problems that surfaces once in a while, and you'll need to do some research and give suggestions on how to best solve it. Tbh, I'm not sure if this is a con, cause it encourages creative problem solving together as a team. It is a con if you are not good with uncertainties. - Because the company is still growing, there could be new roles or shifting of responsibilities. So if you're used to fixed roles and would only do what's in your JD, this place wouldn't be suitable.

Pros

- friendly and chill people - hands on on a lot of different projects - learning a lot - boss is understanding and chill - can gaslight the product manager - fun internship - ZERO politics

Cons

- none. Only if you're lazy, want to do zero work, want to be stagnant, or don't want to learn. Period.

Nah, most reviews have truth in them. We especially appreciate those who spent time writing a detailed review, it helps us learn more about how well/poor we have been doing in leading and managing the team from an employee's perspective. Nonetheless, thank you for supporting us and our mission. Judging from the time you left this review, I have a good idea who you are :) You shared that the group chat that you rediscovered your love for programming and we can't be any happier to have been part of the process for you in learning more about yourself. You too, keep striving high, and continue being such great fun to work with.

Pros

- some of the best people i worked with, little to no office politics - good pay for an intern position - ceo gets icecream, fruits, and lunch sometimes - gym with basic equipment (squat/bench press rack, dumbells, kettle bells) - flexible with employees working from home

Cons

- employee onboarding is not the best, few months in and i still cant say i understand 100% how all features of our products work - not the best pay when converted to full time, taking into consideration the high workload. Other small tech companies offer the same pay range for far less work and better WLB - higher ups not the best at estimating deadlines, tho extra time will be given if you're not able to finish before the deadline - does not give out free premium spotify accounts as stated in the job listing -Expected to complete training materials before the first day without compensation for the time spent

Firstly, we sincerely apologize for the mention of Spotify Premium in our job post. It was discontinued 3–4 months ago because it was rarely used by anyone in the company. We should have removed it from our company profile on Hiredly as soon as that decision was made. We have since corrected this, and we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Transparency is a core value we strive to uphold, both in our team and with our clients. Please reach out to us, I would like to personally cover the cost of a Spotify Premium subscription for you during your confirmed employment. You can email us at adminexecutive@mulahrewards.com. Regarding the tight deadlines, our product manager estimates timelines based on their knowledge, but there are instances where the estimates may be off especially for novel features or specifications where not all scenarios can be foreseen from the start. That’s why we practice flexibility in certain projects and do not always enforce deadlines rigidly. I'm glad you acknowledged that extra time is given when needed. If there were cases where you felt a deadline was unfair, we hope they were resolved after discussing them especially since you mentioned that you enjoyed working with our team and found little to no office politics. While we don’t claim to be perfect, we are committed to hiring the best people to foster a healthy environment where everyone can grow, not just professionally, but as individuals as well.
