      Colleagues/faculty look out for one another.

      The pay is a joke for the amount of work that is expected. Leadership has completely lost their way and all decisions are based on cost and not what is best for students.

      Pros

      Muskingum University is a special place with great students and coworkers. It is a beautiful campus, and I enjoyed working here.

      Cons

      Understaffed, so people had to take on more and more work. Pay is very low, and health insurance is terrible. Raises are non-existent.

      Pros

      Quaint town location, some opportunity for tuition reimbursement, mostly friendly people. Great opportunity to get to really know students.

      Cons

      If you are looking to work in a homogeneous environment, Muskingum is for you. Very little diversity. Many people who work there graduated from MU, and didn't want to leave the area. If you love doing things the way they have always been done, you'll love it here. Very little chance for advancement or to develop skills outside your silo. ..unless your buddy buddy with administration. Small town mentality. Rampant favoritism. Staff treated like "the help". Outdated technology. Bloated staff. Terrible, overpriced health benefits.
