Lack of communication when it comes to department re-structuring. Company management has favored departments. Treating employees as liabilities instead of assets. Lack of support and transparency from all levels of management.

Sadly, there is a prevalent bad practice of promoting folks into management roles without really giving them any management training. The sole reason they're promoted is seemingly because of which Sr Manager/Director they're friendly with and/or how long they've been working for the company. Lots of favortism! There are people in those upper positions who have no business managing people. Then there is shock & surprise when long-tenured employees express burnout or make the difficult decision to leave the company.
