THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR

Pros

Absolutely nothing. I got treated so poorly. The worst place I have ever worked.

Cons

Everything about my interaction with the company has been negative. They forced me to do a job role I wasn't employed for. This job role pushed me from the office to the warehouse, where I was asked to do an excessive about of heavy lifting and manual handling. I did what was asked as I am happy to help and informed them of a medical condition, which got made worse due to their lack of care for their employees. The medical condition, of which I gave them a Dr's note for, made it hard for me to do what was asked (heavy lifting). I mentioned it to HR and they pretty much ignored it. I was in a lot of pain after a long day, so I sat down to rest, which my Dr's not said I needed to do when in pain. The Owner and CEO verbally harassed me when he saw I was resting. He walked over to my desk and shouted at me, in front of other members of staff, He said I lacked the strength to work here and that I was nothing but a disappointment... (amongst other hurtful comments). I was fired on the spot without a reason and they didn't follow the correct processes. They fired me from a job I wasn't doing because I was hurting due to a medical condition that they had made worse. Not to mention they didn't provide me with any PPE for the warehouse role they wanted me to do and were 'profiteering' during the COVID-19 pandemic without taking the risk of infection seriously and they risked the well being of their employees just to take as many orders as possible. Read the comments under their Facebook page posts and you'll see lots of angry and disappointed customers. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR DO NOT APPLY FOR A JOB HERE. If I could give a negative amount of stars, I would give -5 (minus 5).

Toxic waste of time

Pros

Some genuinely good people working there! Just a shame to see them stuck there.

Cons

Everything else! No progression in the company despite that being a huge selling factor for all roles on their job list. "Competitive salary" translates to "We will pay you the lowest possible salary that we can legally get away with". Management staff pick favourites and treat them more favourably than others (and do a poor job of hiding it), which leads to some very incompetent people getting roles that they're not fit for. The "great" work life of NWS employees plastered all over social media is a farcry from the truth. One of the reasons why I applied to begin with was photos of people smiling at a cake sale having fun at work, but upon joining I discovered 90% of those people had left due to bad experiences at Net World.

Honest review of the company

Pros

You'll find a few gems, and by that I mean a handful of trustworthy genuine people. Clean environment and fast paced.

Cons

Wages are what I consider very below average. Any talk about offering more is minute and offensive. Hence staff turnover. There is no progression, unchallenging in my department and mainly not enough gearing on rewards for hard work. If there was a reward it was minimal at best.
