Depending on the organization or manager you work for, sometimes work/life balance is out of whack. The various business units and functions have high expectations and are very demanding, to the point of sometimes being unrealistic, and sometimes wasting time and energy, and burning people out. There is an overemphasis on the importance of delivering new projects, and not enough focus on improving the quality of the tools and solutions already (partially) implemented.
