      A stable job but not many growth opportunities.

      Pros

      Small class sizes, small campus, frequent communication from the school director and an OT and Speech therapist on campus.

      Cons

      I often felt micro-managed and did not often feel like my knowledge and opinions about the day to day business of my classroom was heard or valued. The school is year round and salary is low and it is easy to get burnt out.

      Pros and cons to working at a small private school

      Pros

      NewBridge is a small school where everyone knows one another. Overall the students are very well behaved.

      Cons

      Teachers are extremely micromanaged and salaries are very low. I found there were a lot of clicks among teachers and senior staff. Supervisors often used passive-aggressive management techniques that made me quite uncomfortable.
