Pros
Good connections and friendships were made. Good pay for an entry-level position (if you are single and just of college).
Cons
The place is the most toxic place you will work at (unless changes will be made soon). Other departments blame admissions if numbers are not met, and yet, they are the ones that sometimes make students choose other universities. On top of that, they do not make any effort on understanding how our job is performed and never recognized us for the achievements and the students we bring in anyways (considering how darn expensive the school is and how everyone chooses community college or state universities). There is no team in admissions. Since the best admissions director was let go, the place is a mess. Secrets, not working together, trying to show off to make others look bad in the team is overall an awful environment. At times, you do not even feel comfortable with asking for days off, or sick time, even if you are incredibly ill. They are understaffed and make no effort into finding other workers fast, making everyone feel so overworked and stressed. Communication lacks, BADLY. WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE, WHERE YOU ARE VALUED AS AN EMPLOYEE, WHERE YOUR INPUT MATTER BECAUSE THIS SCHOOL WILL NEVER MAKE CHANGES, AS HIGHER-UPS ARE JUST WORKING AGAINST IMPROVEMENTS AND KEEP THINGS THE SAME OR WORST. There is no space for creativity.
