Pros
- Flexible working arrangements - Pool table, Xbox and other games in the office. There are cooked breakfasts every few weeks and on hot days they'll bring around ice cream, but I think this has more to do with how they want to be perceived and not how much they actually care. Some days I'd just prefer a 'well done' and of course, perhaps time to enjoy the so called perks - For some staff, they have been able to travel overseas for events but this is a small select few
Cons
- You can work crazy hours, and they never offer you any time in lieu - Difficult to get a promotion. In fact I have seen very few internal promotions. - No matter how hard you work, you won't get a decent pay rise - Redundancies fairly regularly. Some long term staff members have been let go recently. - Don't reward staff appropriately even when 'rewarding' them. Shares were distributed to long term staff members a few years ago, and certain staff on the same level received xx times the amount of other staff - Lack of communication from the US. Messages take days to reach us or we find out some backhanded way. - People have been made redundant and then the email announcement from the CEO talks about how they chose to leave or better yet, people leave by choice and there is no communication sent to the rest of the company, so the next day people try to contact them only to find out they've left. - Poor management - even when they know staff are struggling under pressure, they do nothing - HR know about issues with managers such as bullying and don't do anything - All of these 'best employer of the year' awards they win are set up by Nintex. We were previously asked to not use the questionnaire as a way to air grievances and to rate the company highly.
