      This place is a mess.....avoid at all costs!

      Pros

      The attorneys and most of the staff are pleasant and easy to work with.

      Cons

      Where to start??? The upper management of this firm is a complete mess. The COO is totally unqualified for the position and flounders from one crisis to the next. The C-level in charge of HR is in way over her head and has a horrible relationship with the rest of the HR team (they have constant turnover) as well as the firm's general staff, who all despise her. The CFO is also a mess who is, again, in way over his head. The firm hasn't had a permanent CIO in about 3 years and has been relying on high priced consultants to oversee IT. All these issues lead directly back to the COO who makes horrible hiring decisions and has no operational experience when it comes to running a law firm. Mid level administrators at the firm are generally decent, but the best ones leave once they see what a mess the firm is.

      Benefits Compensation Flexibility Not a lot of micromanaging but some Appreciation - the firm overall appreciates the support it receives from staff

      Cons

      Senior management Unhappy employees - the dysfunction of various departments takes a toll. Incompetent sub departments Heavy vibe of discontentment Rigidity by talent management Partners need to listen and open their eyes to how bad it is.

      Firm might benefit with new COO and fewer admin people

      Great group of attorneys and cordial atmosphere.

      Cons

      Top heavy with partners, inability to hire/keep long term employees. Salaries have decreased among staff. In the past, the firm paid fully for parking; once fully paid parking was abandoned, the firm provided a parking allowance of $150 per month. The $150 amount was then deceased to $125. Most recently, the attorneys and associates received fully paid parking; staff, on the other hand, was give a $5 increase for a total parking allowance of $130. Try to find parking in downtown L.A. for $130 per month. Both longevity and yearly bonuses where provided yearly; longevity bonuses are now given in five year increments. Yearly bonuses do continue.
