Pros

There are lots of good and talented people trying their best.

Cons

Since the acquisition and merger with Advanced Instruments things have gone downhill. The new CEO and Management are clueless and can't be trusted. They are only concerned about looking good for the board and saving money by laying people off whenever they can.

Pros

There are many highly capable scientists, engineers, and project teams at this company. I worked with excellent colleagues who cared deeply about quality, collaboration, and delivering strong technical outcomes. The work itself was engaging and provided opportunities to contribute meaningfully across multiple projects and functions. However, the organization struggled with chronic understaffing, unclear resource planning, and inconsistent leadership follow-through. High performers were often relied upon to absorb expanding responsibilities without corresponding staffing support, advancement opportunities, or sustainable workload expectations. One of the most difficult aspects of my experience was that concerns were often acknowledged only after employees reached a breaking point. In my case, senior leadership verbally recognized many of the issues I had raised regarding workload, staffing, organizational structure, and support. Discussions initially suggested a willingness to find solutions and retain experienced employees. However, those conversations ultimately did not lead to meaningful organizational change or long-term resolution. That disconnect between what was communicated privately and what ultimately occurred made it difficult to maintain trust in leadership decision-making. The experience left me feeling that retention efforts were reactive rather than proactive, and that employee concerns were taken most seriously only after resignation discussions had already begun. I do believe there are leaders within the organization who care about employees and want the company to succeed. Unfortunately, good intentions were not always matched by consistent action, long-term planning, or effective communication. Pros: Strong technical teams and collaborative coworkers Interesting scientific and engineering challenges Opportunities to gain broad experience Dedicated employees who care deeply about the products and customers

Cons

Chronic understaffing and employee burnout Heavy dependence on a small number of high performers Limited upward mobility Resource planning and prioritization issues Leadership communication and follow-through were inconsistent
