- Sense of autonomy, with the opportunity to own and drive a project forward
- Open lines of communication across the organization. Everyone is open and willing to help where needed
- Despite the remote work situation, there is great team camaraderie
- Working with a team of friendly, talented individuals
- A great place to grow as a designer if you are a self starter - specifically in service design and government UX
Cons
-Working solo on a project can feel a little isolating, especially for those who are used to a more collaborative setting
- Working in different time zones can pose a challenge and may seep into your work/life balance
Being a designer at Number41 is so much more than a desk job- you get to travel, deep dive into different industries, connect with end-users from all walks of life, and work on really meaningful projects that actually make a difference. You won't find this depth and breadth of UX experience anywhere else in Victoria. The company is small and intends to stay small (15-20 people) so it has an office-family vibe with really great people; lots of laughs and camaraderie.
Cons
While work/life balance is generally valued here and overtime is a rarity, policies on working from home or working odd hours are pretty rigid - especially for a company in the tech industry.
