Pros

Bonus of 1 month + (Jun & end of year appraisal), AWS ( will be given in Jan together with bonus for end year appraisal, but will not be named as AWS, but named as bonus)

Cons

Management with old mindset. You are required to do OT always (40-50 hours monthly) Old mindset where even if you do not have job to do and if you OT, you are considered hardworking. Other companies out there limit their OT as if the employee is doing OT alot it means the employee is burdened with work or not productive or something wrong with management work distribution. But here is opposite, if you go back on time after completing your tasks, you are considered having lot of free time and they will assign you with more tasks. Salary also is below standard market range. I was from a company which required us to do OT when necessary and I thought it is same here but I warn you guys. IT IS NOT THE SAME. You are even sometimes expected to work weekends (Sun included at time) or till late nights ( 10.30 to even till 1 am if got overseas support or urgent work). Funny thing is if you exceeded your OT limit, you are not being paid for it. SO UNFAIR RIGHT?

Pros

-Good and stable bonus (3months+) per year split into two times a year. -Able to learn a lot as a new engineer cause although you're new, you will be assigned to be in-charged of whole project. -Have personal retreat allowance each year. -Have OT pay even for Engineer. -Good place to learn if you just graduated.

Cons

-Long working hours. -OT is a norm, when you don't OT, you're the weird one. -Bonus is the same, not base on merit of a person, same if you be the most hardworking or the laziest. -Saturday feels like a working day (cause require to OT). -Bonus is twice a year, hence make you very hard to leave for better job. You will be stuck forever if you keep thinking of the bonus. -New recruit comes in with higher pay and more annual leaves while old employees suffer and management just won't match the package for the old employees. After all, all this cons are actually manageable, because manufacturing do works in this manner, it is how it is. Do it to earn while you have the stamina, else you leave for a job that is more suitable for you.

Good learning ground for freshies

Pros

Able to travel to client site to broaden your knowledge and experience. Task given are achievable and reasonable (depends on dept). Fresh graduate can learn a lot in this company.

Cons

Promotion and increment are all depends on management, no periodic review or revise of remuneration. OT preferred (depends on dept)
