Pros

Easy work, decent hours, pretty good product.

Cons

I was part of the retention office, and was hired as an 'office administrator'. First of all, it is basically a glorified call centre job, as you are calling out to previous clients and trying to get them to schedule a meeting for a re-order. You end up harassing people, calling them every other day and most people get irritated. I was promised $15/hour to start, and DID NOT ever get paid that. I was also told there was benefits after a while in the company, and then after I got hired on was told that there are no benefits except for higher management. I never signed any kind of tax paper work, or contract. I have never seen such an unprofessional way of running a business. I left over a month and a half ago, and still have yet to receive my ROE and vacation pay. Not to mention my supervisor was VERY rude and unprofessional when I left.

Horrible company to work for

Pros

Good money (if they pay you the proper amount) Typically light work, just deal with the elements.

Cons

Canvassers will go door to door no matter the weather. If it is pouring rain for the whole shift, you MIGHT get off early. Roads and sidewalks not plowed? Sounds like a you problem. Work van does not have winter tires and is often packed with more people than seats/seatbelts. Tablets provided do not work while snowing/raining, often an employee will have to struggle in order to enter leads. If their employee gets you sick & you miss work because of it, they might just fire you. Meat samples have gotten people sick due to thawing and refreezing all the time. Common practice is to lie to customers in order to get as many leads as possible. Also encouraged to go up to doors that specifically say no soliciting/peddling. I worked with the company for a month and never once met anyone who wasn’t a part of the canvassing team, then was fired by someone I had never met.

Pros

There is absolutely no positives about this company

Cons

I have 10 years in the direct sales industry and this has to be, by far, the worst company I have ever worked for. The whole program is a scam: -farms are not local -farms aren't organic or natural -cost the customer 3-4x retail -customers have no real choice The job is a farce: - you are lucky to make 30k at this -you are an employee not independent contractor -the company will dock your pay illegally -leads are far and few between Atmosphere: -its depressing, you can feel the negative vibe in the air -there are a bunch of awards on with people's names on them that don't work there...possible fake? -the are constantly on their reps to put up fake reviews, both on this website and for product reviews - you avoid public places or else risk meeting people you've scammed to buy $25/lb meat
