Pros

It has curb appeal. When interviewing it seems like one place, but it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing type of situation. The company is lacking strong leadership and that becomes clear right away. Across departments, everyday contributor roles are full of great people. However, most have only worked at Nutrislice, and don’t know anything different. Some are too content in the status quo. The product is good, but not good enough. It does what it’s supposed to do, however most competitors in the space offer what Nutrislice does, plus 10 other things. All-inclusive systems are becoming the norm for their main clients.

Cons

Where do I begin? Nutrislice is a mess. In the past 2 months, over 15% of the staff (9 people) have been fired or put in there 2 weeks notice. All of marketing and sales report directly the CEO. Both leaders of each team were fired (see above), and those who weren’t fired, left. I would be hesitant to join the sales or marketing team for this reason. It may be a “tech start up” but all of the benefits that come with other startups in the area, do not exist here. Like happy hours and team events? They don’t exist here. Events are sparse, and cheap. Cheap in a way that feels cheap, not fun. The culture is awful. I never knew how miserable work could make me, until working here. Culture is so bad that you can feel it every day in the office. It may be an open workspace, but it’s quiet enough to hear a pin drop 99% of the time. If you’re desperate for a job, and Nutrislice is the only place, it’s a paycheck. But, if you’re considering other offers (like I had), don’t choose Nutrislice.

Pros

A handful of people are really great to work with. Full stocked kitchen and lot's of toys.

Cons

Leadership team is lost, inexperienced and changes direction often. Lot's of layoffs every year and that really effects the culture. Founders have hit the wall of how to grow the company and have lack of vision. Software is very bug prone and clients are always upset.

Pros

- Great employees on mid level - Snacks and coffee - Nice hardware, updated computers - Natural light - Fairly organized work system and process for projects - Good pay - Lateral and vertical promotions are a common thing - Opportunities to learn a lot

Cons

- CEOs/Management have no direction for company, doesn't know if wants to get bought out/continue growing - Mindset is money > people - No real HR department - Employees are all held to differing standards - Dramatic and chaotic environment - No privacy in work environment - all open, short-wall cubicles - Workplace is very loud and makes it hard to focus
