Firstly, the job description was completely misleading. What was promised in terms of responsibilities and opportunities for growth turned out to be nothing but a pipe dream. Instead of the stimulating work environment I was led to expect, I found myself drowning in mind-numbing tasks that offered no chance for professional development.
The management was utterly incompetent. It seemed like they had no idea what they were doing half the time, and communication was practically non-existent. Whenever I had a question or concern, it was met with dismissiveness or outright hostility. There was no support system in place for employees, and any attempts to address issues were met with retaliation.
The company culture was toxic, to say the least. There was an overwhelming sense of negativity permeating the office, with backstabbing and gossiping being the norm. It felt like everyone was out for themselves, and there was no sense of camaraderie or teamwork.
To make matters worse, the pay was laughably low considering the amount of work expected of me. It was insulting to see how little value the company placed on its employees, especially considering the long hours and weekends I was expected to put in without any overtime compensation.
In short, working at Nuvalent was a soul-crushing experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company like the plague. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
