Pros

There is nothing good about working at Nuvance Health. Unless If you get sick, I maybe you might be able to see a Doctor there without walking too far I suppose. I believe the Doctors and Nurses are good people with good intentions.

Cons

The New Summit Building in Danbury - Fantastic waste of money, space and resources. AND it is not a safe workplace. Management lies through their teeth. They think their secrets won't get back to employees, but they always do. We are not morons. People talk. So we find out that you are liars, and we no longer respect you. Duh. Please just stop. You play favorites and you torment and target employees whose "do as I say not as i do" value system doesn't align with yours. Retaliation abounds. There is no recourse for targeted employees. Employees quitting left and right. No one wants to work here. The ones left behind just get piled on more work with no thanks, respect, nothing. Even while losing employees left and right, Management will fire long-time employees without giving a thought to their welfare, families, or letting them say goodbye. Just - "you are not favored - bye' it's horrible. and very sad. The culture is supposed to represent good, ethical values, but it is just the opposite. It is the underhanded, sleazy, and deceitful ones with no empathy for others that stay in power and intimate the good people. Employees with a "heart, soul, and empathy" are considered weak and lightweights. Bullying at its worst. Toxic, Toxic, Toxic.

Pros

- The PTO is generous, especially after a few years - BRAVO peer recognition program - Great co-workers

Cons

- High employee turnover rate - Not staffed appropriately - Management forces the work from lack of employees onto current staff, with no discussion of updating current position or increase in salary for added responsibility - Expectation is to cover the work of your peers, without management addressing problematic situations properly - low PTO hour carryover allowed - Burnout- I cannot emphasize this enough, you are expected to WORK more than the amount you were hired for - Difficult to have discussions with managers - there are most certainly favorites and there is no addressing legitimate concerns in regards to staffing, pay, or work - When employee surveys are filled out in regards to management, the improvement process is brought back to employees to figure out how the scores can increase, instead of the issue being brought back to management and having them develop an action plan on how they can improve - Management has their own agenda and will execute at the expense of even the very best employees

Patients And Employees Come Last

Pros

Filled with quality nurses and practitioners across many specialties Solid benefits

Cons

Terrible, terrible leadership— zero insight is ever sought from patient-facing employees. Instead, executive suits far removed from what is actually happening with patient care make decisions in a vacuum, roll them out, then walk back on things when they realize the logistical nightmares they created (or worse, insist this new initiative will press forward regardless of the impact to patients or staff) Company treats the patients like ATMs instead of people Staff morale is incredibly low most days Intense micro-management on rudimentary tasks, juxtaposed with management taking forever to address anything staff needs to address patient care (even safety) to the point where you often have to harass direct reports to even get a response
