Pros

Uncapped commission with a base salary.

Cons

People here work like robots, only following orders and every whim of management! Doing something out of your own discernment will get you in trouble! You will get yelled at if you have a mind of your own and did something without management's permission!

Thank you for sharing this. We take every review seriously, and we always want to listen when someone feels let down. We do want to be candid, though. We're a small team with close, direct relationships across everyone here, and the experience described in this review is genuinely hard for us to recognize. Giving people room to use their own judgment - particularly when it comes to looking after our clients - is core to how we work. We're not claiming everything is perfect, but the kind of environment described here is exactly what our culture is built to catch and fix, and it isn't something we've seen play out this way. To be direct: people at Ocean don't yell at each other. If this was a real experience at Ocean, I'd very much welcome the chance to hear it firsthand and make things right. My door is always open - you're welcome to connect with me on LinkedIn and reach out to me directly anytime. Warm regards, Philipp People & Culture, Ocean

Nice mix of talents

Pros

The marketing team brings together people with diverse talents, including some with experience in design, writing, data, and even sales. This versatility makes strategies stronger. A data person might see a pattern the others miss; a designer will approach a problem visually first. I learn something new from my teammates practically every day.

Cons

The strong focus on results sometimes overshadows the hard work that goes into campaigns.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review! We’re really glad to hear you value the mix of talents on the marketing team. Bringing together different perspectives - from data to design to commercial thinking - is something we care a lot about, and it’s great to see that reflected in your experience. Appreciate the honest note on our results focus as well. We aim high, but it’s a good reminder to keep recognizing the hard work and creativity that go into achieving those outcomes. Thanks for being part of the team 🙌
