Pros

Basic salary is competitive but never up for review or increase regardless of length of service. Good bonus structure (but rarely hit due to erratic targets) 25% discount on sports and branded product 35% discount on Own Brand shoes. Access/ opportunity to work with high profile sneakers if you’re into that sort of thing.

Cons

1 pair of shoes below the value of £100 ( to be worn 4 days minimum a week for six months) does not constitute as uniform. Inconsistent and unattainable bonus targets when compared to wider company performance. Unclear communications between head office and retail Head office hours do not support retail hours in he slightest. Extremely high turnover of staff at a sales and management level. Basic wage for hourly staff in stores is appalling for London, that’s why we lose so many hourly staff on a weekly basis. Training and development doesn’t really exist, nothing rolled out by the company, it’s all down to stores which creates an inconsistency in knowledge and learning between branches. Culture of dishonesty in places, Senior management seem very happy to skate each other behind closed doors, but open conversations that need to be had are not. Toxic management culture where hard work and experience are not as valued as they should be. Is more a case of who you make pals with in head office as opposed to the effort you put in. Childish approach to management when working their notice period. I was essentially cut out of all communciatoons for a month, which actually cuased detriment to the business.

Pros

When you go on holiday and you're left alone.

Cons

Pay is rubbish unless your face fits. Pay across the board is so UNFAIR, you have junior management in London on more money than senior management up north. We still have bills, rent, kids to feed etc up here, not just London. NO SICK PAY and you're made to feel guilty for being sick. You have NO LIFE, even on your days off you get calls and messages from senior management. HR is a JOKE no support, no help NOTHING. IT systems are so outdated and cause issues in store. There is NO duty of care, NONE! They sell you a dream and what you get is lies, no appreciation and stress. You work extra hours, you will have to FIGHT to get those hours back and made to feel guilty for taking those hours back. I swear working in the days of Shakespeare was better than working for this company now. All the GOOD people have left, so this place is getting worse each time the sun rises every day.
