Bullying and harassment of HMIs and others by a some managers happen. But does not appear to be addressed. This puts a lot of pressure on HMIs who inspect. At the HMI level there are limited opportunities for progression. The diversity of workforce is not good enough when compared to diverse population the organisation inspects. I have seen female and age representation improve over the years which is good. However, there is a lack of people particularly at the HMI and SHMI level from ethnic minority groups. This includes, Black, Asian and other minority groups. Unclear if issues are investigated impartially as managers do protect managers.
