Thank you for the review. It means a lot to hear that the collaborative culture, ownership and clear career progression have come through in your time here, as that is exactly what we want our people to feel. Your point on continuing to invest in internal tools and processes as we scale is a fair one, and we will share it with our leadership team.

Pros

The initial onboarding and placement process was reasonably straightforward, and the role itself gave me valuable experience with a major client. Payment administration generally functioned during the engagement, and the role helped me build practical experience in a busy IT support environment.

Cons

My main concern is how communication and offboarding were handled when the assignment came to an end. The working arrangement involved Oliver James as the agency and an end client where I worked day to day. In practice, important information about the continuation of the role, contract status, notice, and termination was not communicated clearly to me. Near the end of the assignment, I asked for an update because my contract was approaching its end date and I needed to know whether I should continue holding off on other opportunities. The response I received was vague and suggested that the matter was still being confirmed. Based on documents I later received, it appeared that termination was already being discussed internally at that time. The end of the assignment was handled abruptly. I was not given meaningful detail at the time, and I was left trying to understand the situation after the fact. In my view, the process lacked transparency and did not reflect the seriousness of ending someone’s work arrangement, especially where notice terms and future employment decisions are involved. I also found the post-termination communication difficult. Important points around notice, payment, contract status, and the reason for termination were not explained in a clear or satisfactory way.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We're sorry your contract didn't end with the clarity, and we take that seriously. Clear, honest communication with both the clients we partner with and the people we place is central to how we want to work, and feedback like this helps us hold ourselves to that. We'll share this with our leadership team to improve our process. We wish you the best in your career.
