Confidence in company fading. Rumors were true afterall

The environment was excellent. The management in the middle was decent. The free food was an enjoyable perk. The social events were fun. Happy hours were a sincere joy.
Cons
Unfortunately, some comments in here can try to deny it but the rumors were unfortunately true. A previously deleted comment pointed out that layoffs were coming within 2 weeks, and 2 weeks later, many hard working people I had the pleasure of working with were gone entirely. I was genuinely skeptical about layoffs, even as people left, but when they happened, I felt shocked. The positive reviews say that only bitter or lazy people got let go, but that doesn’t reflect the truth that many of them were loyal and hardworking. They helped me out in many situations and were positive on company outlook up until the end. I’m not going to accuse anyone of anything, I only ask that the situation be presented fairly and that the recently terminated don’t get slandered as it didn’t reflect their hard work and effort.
