1) MD is a good player for hide and seek. Whenever issue pop up, he will be hiding until NIAMA cannot find. Then, at the end he will just blame you for can't seek him for advice. 2) Bosses with a good mindset of I. C. I. Which means they take Initiative for Claim Immediately. Will tell his engineer all jobs can be finish in just few hours, since we have the template and the task is same . However, in actual case the only template is the one yourself need to create. Engineering works nothing is same. 3) Bosses with good project management skill. They will assign tonnes of project to you, then ask you to prioritise the important and urgent one. Sound good, but whenever u have alot of project at a time, all will become urgent and important. The only thing to be sympathise is we only have one hand. 1. Very talented PE and Ir bosses with gift of knowing design will work without even looking at the drawings, calculations or understanding the project first. Rare and uncommon talent in this industry where technically challenging. 2. Very fair bosses in rewarding staff who align with their talents. One can go from graduate to principal in 6 years. Super acknowledging and rewarding. One just have to follow the bosses. 3. Very social bosses who attend all talks in SG and very active on LinkedIn to promote the brand of OneSmart by giving highly expert and elegant introductory talks about life as engineers after graduation. Clear stand out from the crowd of engineers who always talk about the usual technical stuff. 4 . Great training programme. All fresh graduates are trained to handle difficult clients independently. Even when there are mistakes in drawings and calculations, nothing will happen. Bosses thought us the importance of the safety factors. Great industry standards and authority codes of practice makes graduates able to sleep at night. 5. Ethics always priority by the bosses. OneSmart values it so much that they know how to follow it 100% by the rules on paper. The valuable sharing by bosses and seniors on how to comply them on paper is so eye-opening and career changer. Even when things go wrong, bosses thought us to be liable in our work even though we are not professionally accredited as PE. We have our own Golden Clauses in drawings and reports that make OneSmart the best consultant in Asia. 6. Fundamental is encouraged here. Software is just a tool. We are thought how to defy design standards and codes by coming up with cutting-edge design and law of physics. I am only surprised why OneSmart is not getting more awards only. 7. New faces almost every month. New interns or graduates can be seen every month. I never get bored because I can talk to new people every time.
