Pros

There is absolutely nothing positive I can think to say about OneVue. I guess taking sick days was positive.

Cons

Where do I begin? Staff are treated like dirt. Managers speak to staff rudely and if you don't put in extra hours you are deemed "not a team player". Work/life balance is something management apply to themselves, not to staff under them. When you're there at 9 o'clock at night trying to meet deadlines, don't expect any managers to be with you. A lot of the staff should not be working there, their skills are way below what is required. As such, the software produced is poorly written and full of bugs. Despite having a lot of money, layoffs are frequent. Don't expect to have any job security. For some reason the best staff seem to get made redundant, while the bad (poorly paid) staff remain. I cannot express in words what a truly depressing place this is to work for. I've never been so happy to hand in my resignation. Please do not consider even applying for a job here - unless you are a poor worker and happy to accept long hours and below industry pay.

Worst company I've worked for, so far.

Pros

One manager there was very nice, the other not so much.

Cons

They don't treat people well. They fired a developer who has been in the company for years the day he was leaving for an approved planned vacation. Most of the developers have been in the company for less than two years. Makes you wonder why.

Pros

Close to public transport and food options. Remote work was allowed (but I feel that could have been a reason for my demise).I'm giving 2 stars for work life balance only because I fought hard for it through negotiations and I was getting my job done.Again my wanting a work / life balance could have contributed to my demise.....

Cons

Normally I wouldn't say things about a company but this is really to save the next fool who might not be sure about accepting an offer and has stumbled on this page. The reviews are real. Here's my story: Job was advertised on seek for a polyglot software developer. They have both .NET and Java applications. I went for the interview, worked out well and were keen to employ me. I on the other hand read the reviews on this page, sent a letter to the recruitment agent declining the job offer. The 1 to 1.5 ratings here and the reviews before mine were good enough to put me off this job. I then got a call from OneVue's management who assured me that there were disgruntled ex employees and the reviews were not a reflection of the reality within the organization and that they were changing the culture. Basically I got assurance that it would be fine working there despite the scathing reviews here... I took the job. Project based work with a definite date for production which happened to be the week of my 3 month probation review. I completed the job on time with no issues. I even checked with my direct manager if they were OK with what I had been doing and seemed fine. At least that's what I thought. The moment I completed the project, I was given the extra one week pay and told to leave because according to them I did not fit the work culture. This happened 3 weeks before Christmas. In the limited time that I have been there, what I have observed is that I think this company has bad management practices and people work with constant reminders that their job is on the line. The staff turnover rate is high and morale within the organization seems low. There you have it folks, my two cents.....Enjoy.
