Honestly, the benefits (solid health, dental and vision). That’s it.

Where do I even begin… the fact that the official county handbook hadn’t been updated for over a decade was an absolute red flag. Hopefully that has changed. The Health Department is a disjointed excuse of an agency. Between the antiquated policies & procedures, incompetent leadership and abysmal workplace culture — it’s no wonder the majority of the community is unaware of the department’s services or existence for that matter. The civil service exam is a literal joke, very much a waste of time and resources. Parking is not ideal and the monthly rates for the parking garages is steep. County building is dated, security tends to just lounge around — God forbid there be an actual emergency or threat to the building. Remote work is not available in any shape or form. All in all, a dreadful place to spend 5 out of the 7 days of the week.
