Pros

There is nothing good about this company I really hope this company burns to the ground. Go to business school or something idiots!

Cons

They rip you off from your tips and earnings. Sometime they cancel your job last minute so they can take out last minute cancelation fee from your paycheck. Worst customer service ever!!!!! Dispatch is not useful at all and when you email them they don't reply for days even when it's urgent. There is barely any customer so can't make much money. This company is so poor at everything, very disorganized. I waste my gas and mileage and when it is payday they email you saying oh you weren't at your station for this long and last minute cancellation that they did so all of that is subtracted from your paycheck. This job is the most unrelieble job ever.

Hi there! My name is Heidi, and I work with the driver ops team here at OrderAhead. I’m so sorry to hear about the negative experience you've had with us! As a company, we really appreciate your feedback, so thank you so much for letting us know how you feel about everything. I want to make sure I address all your concerns. If you feel I missed anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! --We have never cancelled a driver's shift and then deducted a cancellation fee from their paycheck. We will never do that. Cancellation fees are only deducted if the driver cancels a shift within 24 hours of the starting time. If you think we took a fee for a shift that we cancelled, please email us immediately and let us know, because that is definitely an error on our part. --We pride ourselves on giving our drivers 100% of the tips they earn. The only instance this may appear untrue is if your total hourly wage, including 100% tips, is lower on an hourly basis than our minimum guarantee. This may happen in Seattle, which is a new market for us and thus sees fewer orders. In these cases, our drivers are automatically bumped up to our minimum hourly guarantee! --I’m so sorry you’ve been having trouble getting in touch with us! We have dispatchers answering texts at all hours that we are open. We’ve also added a driver support phone line and e-mail address to make sure you can get in touch with us quickly. We don’t want to leave you hanging! --Seattle is a very new market for us, so it is very possible that sometimes a shift can be slow. We know it can be a little disconcerting, so we tell every driver in Seattle about it during their onboarding session. We know your time is valuable, which is why we guarantee an hourly wage to make sure you are being compensated well for your time with us, regardless of factors outside of your control (like how many orders there are). --Because we have this guaranteed hourly wage in place, we have to be more cautious. After all, we’re running a business—we can’t pay our drivers to sit at home! :) So we require our drivers show up to their assigned hub location on time so that they are able to accept orders. Again, thank you so much for leaving us your feedback. Our drivers are super important to us, so again, if you feel like I didn’t address any of your concerns fully, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Pros

-Flexible Hours (meaning two shifts LUNCH 10:00am- 1:30pm or DINNER 4:45pm- 9:30pm)

Cons

-Total lies about how much money can be made......average about $15-$18/ hour at best -Must reach 35+ deliveries to qualify for gas reimbursement which isn't even up to the recommended national minimum of $0.55/ mile (company tries to spin this by saying the $0.42/ mile they offer is a perk because you can write off the difference of $0.13/ mile on your taxes) -Company says they track your miles, however they only use the GPS distance estimate while on a delivery meaning if you have to drive around for 2 miles to find parking or because food isn't ready, this is not tracked or applied to mileage - Tips from customers in the application are split 50/50 by default with the driver and the restaurant, this is never made abundantly clear to customers and results in lower tips **(Who tips the restaurant on a delivery?!?!)** -Driver support often sends delivery information late........ resulting in late food delivery and lower tips with unhappy customers (often they give fake reasons for late delivery to customer which reflects poorly on drivers but they don't care because they don't work on tips) -Rarely does the driver support team have any knowledge of the areas they are over seeing which leads to poor coordination and late deliveries (ex: sending vehicles into downtown SF for a lunch delivery, anyone who knows the city should realize this is a near impossible task due to parking and traffic)

Hi there! I'm so sorry that you had such a poor experience working with us. I'm going to pass along your feedback to our delivery team so we can do better in the future. I do want to say though: all tips on delivery orders go to you guys, the drivers! No split there. :) --Heidi

Pros

Flexible schedule. I wish I had more pros but since my first week, there has been no light at the end of the tunnel.

Cons

Poor management, no room for growth (I applied for a small promotion and I was denied, why?) That's what I get for working with them for over a year and half. This company will go down or be bought out after some time, I try to tell people about the company and the first response I get is "WHO?!?" Why even bother promoting them for free? I don't get a thank you or any appreciation as I mentioned about the denial of the promotion. Think twice before joining OrderAhead unless you are desperate like me. I need the little money they pay me for working my behind off because I'm going to school to finish up. Other notes: Poor customer service, late orders sent via the app. I also know for a fact that OA is keeping most of our tips. There is no way of tracking it except for what they tell us after the end of the week. Some of my repeat customers have told me how much they left me after asking if I got their big tip. I'm not going to accuse our bosses because I'm sure it all be denied. Last note: Stay positive, work hard because they promise you $15-20 an hour, it's all BALONEY! The only way you will ever see that is by working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and getting lucky with tips in which you may or may not see. :)

Hi there! My name is Heidi, and I work on Customer Support/Driver Operations here at OrderAhead. I'm so sorry any confusion or trouble you felt while working with us at OrderAhead. Thank you so much for leaving your feedback. We pride ourselves on making sure our Delivery Partners feel welcome and are heard. Delivery partners power our business, so we take all complaints very seriously. Because of that, I wanted to address all of your complaints individually! To address your concerns, --I'm concerned you might be confusing us with a different delivery service! We have only been contracting delivery partners to work with us for about 11 months, and our oldest driver is not even a year old. Many of our drivers do work across multiple on-demand services, so I believe you've confused our policies and problems with someone else. --Outside of the delivery team, all other positions are in our corporate office. Candidates applying from our delivery partner team to these positions are thoroughly assessed based on that individuals performance with us as a driver and based on their qualifications for the job they're applying for. --We love rewarding performance! We run promotions from time to time for our Delivery Partners, some of which have included bonuses for referring users who complete a purchase using our service. We track these tightly to make sure you get your bonus, but please note users must complete a purchase to be counted as eligible, not simply receive a referral card. --We pride ourselves on giving our delivery partners 100% of the tips they earn. The only instance this may appear untrue is if your total hourly wage, including 100% tips, is lower on an hourly basis than our minimum guarantee. In these cases, our delivery partners are automatically bumped up to our minimum hourly guarantee! --Our top drivers made $23/hr+ last week; it all depends on our delivery partner's familiarity with the job as well as his or her professional and friendly attitude towards the customer! We are always looking to improve perks and bonuses for our delivery partners, and we will communicate them with our drivers as they roll out. Please know that every OrderAhead delivery partner is an invaluable member of our team, as well as the face of OrderAhead! If you have any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly via our support email that you have so that we can address them. Thank you!
