      Event Setup and tear down in a high pressure convention center environment

      Pros

      Pay is good, benefits are great, co-workers are generally excellent people who mostly have a team mentality. This varies depending on your shift and day of the week.

      Cons

      They seem to be phasing out full time event set up staff in favor of a part time heavy model. Not a lot of good communication between sales, event management and departments that actually run the events (A/V, Set-Up, Concessions, Catering, Tech Services, etc.)

      Pros

      An opportunity to really build a strong teamwork environment, however undermined my toxic managers. A few good people that form the core but most are looking elsewhere

      Cons

      Gross mismanagement and especially the night crew is one very unhappy place to be. Turnover is high, morale low and mgrs are clueless. The facility is a cash cow and all about how to wring every dollar out of the place yet employees are a commodity to extract resources from. No wonder so many employees are leaving or looking to leave. And despite their mantra, Its NOT a great place. The HR dept is also openly discriminating against veterans and those with disabilities. Stand up people. File your reports with BOLI.

      good people to work with its cool to work around the events that goes on there

      Cons

      no very many hours it doesnt feel like part time it feels like seasonal work
