      Orgeon Tilth offers affordable organic certification.

      Cons

      Once you are certified by Oregon Tilth look more closely. They are cited as one of the most corrupt certifiers in the US. Management hires itself out to other certifiers to help them suspend producers for questionable violations. This is how Oregon Tilth makes money on the side.

      Worst Certifier I've Ever Worked For

      1. The recruitment process was easy - they hired me very quickly and I didn't even have to interview for the job.

      Cons

      1. They do not respect their inspector's time or expertise. Inspectors are the reason they exist. 2. Database management is poor such that at least for some operations, their OSP is effectively non-functional. 3. Hourly wage is below industry average.

      Coworkers are generally great, the mission is well intended.

      Cons

      Formerly great employer, management is now far less than desired. Benefits and perks have fallen away. Salaries offered are no longer enough to justify the stress and expectations on employees. Dysfunctional attrition and staff dissatisfaction is at all time high.
