Very very bad management

Pros

A few helpful colleagues, some have left (good choice)

Cons

- Vanessa, recently promoted MD of the Singapore office shows no empathy towards her subordinates at all, very arrogant, always asking for feedbacks for the sake of asking because she already has her own ideas and was trying to implant such ideas into everybody so that everyone will agree (willing OR NOT), shows no remorse in uprightly playing favouritism within the team causing politics, using inappropriate languages on her people, extremely micro managing (seems like all her time used was to micro manage people under her) - A very toxic environment to work under as people were encourage to build personal branding within the company apparently (people who are good at sucking up) - COO is lecherous especially after office hours during gatherings (thou he’s married with kid) but it takes 2 hands to clap, some girls in the company just go with it in order to do better in the company and they are really doing better in the company - people they have recently hired are inhumane, demanding people to work after office hours, weekends and during leaves. Demanded for people to go into the office on specific days (not team’s day) despite the company’s policy being to go office once a week on the team’s specific day. Abusing authority (threaten) their people. - very very very very very very bad management

We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience in Osome and thank you for taking your time to leave your feedback. What you have shared is definitely against the value of the company and is not the way we want to build our corporate culture. Osome has an open door policy and implements different layers of approving rounds before one gets promoted. We value our people and thus making sure all promotions are fair and above board. I'm surprise your experience comes forth quite differently and would like to invite you to speak with your local HR to understand your frustration and dissatisfaction.

Pros

Team mates help one another out. The office is big and spacious. It is located in Singapore's CBD. (Near Tanjung Pagar MRT) But we see that other teams seem fine and they look happy mingling at the pantry. Pantry is well-stocked too. HR comes up with lots of positive initiatives. Pretty diverse group in Osome. Overall, it is a good place but it depends on the team you are in.

Cons

-Challenging MOM regulations without justification. -Claiming that HR does not understand how the sales team works, the sales director should run HR matters for the sales team. -Agreeing to pay a certain amount after probation and not honoring that agreement as the cost is high, the tech industry is not doing well. -MD gives credit to the sales director for record-breaking month (Aug '23) on an open channel like 30 birds, even when the team's success is due to the hard work of all employees. -Threatening employees with PIP, pay cuts, demotions, probation extensions, and termination. -Cutting costs and denying employees performance increments and inflation adjustments, while the sales director constantly gets pay bumps despite having no real managerial experience. And please, Osome, conduct tight background checks on your prospective employees; there wasn't good feedback about her with all the people we contacted on her socials. -Employees are encouraged to take on extra projects to prove their worth else may face a demotion. -It's time to quit quietly and do the bare minimum because they're taking a new approach and hiring remote talents from PH at 1/5 of your salary.

Pros

Stocked pantry, allowed to WFH, office located in strategic location

Cons

High turnover rate because of how sucks the company is. They will claim over and over again that they care about the clients but they've never done anything to improve all of their burning problems, especially with Accounting service. Their accountants are burnt out and extremely understaffed. A lot of clients being deprioritised because of it and they're just waiting for them to complain to start taking actions. They have the most bizarre working culture. The dynamics between the Singapore MD and the rest of the employees, how micromanaging she could be. If you're looking for growth opportunities or steep learning curve, you should avoid this company.
