They’re hiring software engineers from Eastern Europe and outside the UAE, but they’re getting paid peanuts. If you are from western europe you are lucky to get highest salaries. The product managers? They’re clueless about the product. Even though the company has a main product, they’re doing their jobs like a rookie. And the project management? It’s a total disaster. It starts from scratch like a truck with a flat tire. Chaos reigns supreme. And the questions? They never get answered, even after multiple walkthrough meetings and solutioning sessions. It’s like they’re speaking a different language. Meanwhile, the developers are drowning in unanswered questions and only have 5 days to code a feature that’s supposed to be implemented. They’ve had a million meetings and discussions with the product manager and business analysts, but nothing gets resolved. They’re just guessing and trying to make progress. And when the deadline is missed, the poor managers start yelling at the developers, demanding why it’s not done yet. It’s super stressful. They don’t even know how to onboard new employees. They expect them to perform at the same level as the 5+ years of experience developers who’ve worked for other companies with similar management styles.
