Pros

Customers are great, I miss so many of them. SOME of the staff was truly a joy to work with. The people in the kitchen aren't appreciated enough!!! They always took care of us in the FOH, and just had good hearts!

Cons

Management is POWER HUNGRY, BIASED, and do NOT want feedback. The HR is not legit. I tried to respectfully share with an unbiased HR how management was disrespectful in the way of how they addressed their staff, and the manager fully read it I had put up with a lot at this job from retail workers being expected to pick up the slack of managers, train managers, manage HUGE catering orders/wedding orders on busy weekends with no managers in town/readily available to help. I had also mentioned how I feel uncomfortable working with certain people to multiple managers, and no one did anything. ever. I was basically told to deal with it. I have also witnessed management being biased towards attractive white heterosexual cis males, allowing them to have privileges by not keeping them accountable. I have witnessed management saying comments, that I rather not repeat, about customers who's bodies don't work the same, that need accessible options. They had not once taken time to recognize black history month or pride month while having a staff with POC & people of the LGBTQ+ community. They did make sure to still celebrate the 4th of July, though. They ranked the retail barista staff based on who made the most money during their shifts in staff meetings. Nothing else you did mattered, as long as you were making them money. They told people if you have a problem with the pay to work ratio to quit, which many did immediately leaving others expected to then pick up the slack. The next new manager we had they were SO DISRESPECTFUL towards, verbally abusive, and rather than understanding it takes a while for a new manager to settle into a store, and learn the company, they quickly blamed her for any mishaps that occurred, calling her stupid to her face. My heart aches for any manager who has to go through that with the higher ups again. It's painful for everyone to watch, and just wrong. Save yourself the trouble, and do not work for this company. At the end of the day, my life turned around when I stopped working in this environment!

Pros

It was close to home and most of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The manager at the time was willing to give you the schedule needed. As a new employee I appreciated sundays off.

Cons

One of the owners was a bit standoffish, she never said anything to the employees and ignored us constantly. They don't offer the standard 15 minute break time just a state mandated 30 minute lunch for full time employees. There was a lack of supplies to successfully complete your task. The pay was very low considering the wholesome, sustainable image they are going for. Employees weren't able to live on the meager wages, thats why even though the company is a few years old the oldest current employee has only been there 7 months. Also overtime was automatic...you would be given more work than possible to complete in 8 hours and then it was assumed that you would be free to stay behind and complete it. Be prepared for that.
