Pros

Oxbotica truly is a fantastic company as a whole, what they stand for and what they are achieving are unbelievable and until my line management changed I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oxbotica.

Cons

Bad line management that is not managed even when complained about. I had a line manager who was rude, aggressive and very manipulative. She would make me go and get her lunch ( I was not a PA )sending me back out if she changed her mine once I was back with what she had originally asked for. She would regularly put the blame on me for mistakes that she had made and make me take the repercussions of them from senior management. She publicly shamed me when I did make an honest mistake instead of support me in my development. During 121's via skype when she would be WFH, she would kiss her husband, making the meeting uncomfortable and making me feel very worthless that my own manager couldn't concentrate on me for the duration of my 121. I did not feel supported and despite her telling me, when in front of others, that I could go to her with anything and ask her any question, when I actually did I was dismissed and told to figure it out alone. I was told when I could and couldn't take Annual Leave and the only reason I was given is that there would be no one to cover my job, and that is because she did not actually know how to do what I was doing because she never bothered to take any interest. I was told in a 121 that I was preforming well and that there were no concerns yet 1 week later I was in a meeting with my LM and HR being told that I would need to go on performance review or leave for which I was not told specifically why. However in that meeting I was told 'This job is obviously taking its toll on you as you have been off sick'. I was sick for two days due to having an infection causing a temperature of 43 Degrees, which when I first got the temp I was at work and my LM told me I could not leave because she had things she needed help me, when I went to the doctor that night he could not believe I hadn't come soon and admitted me to the hospital for overnight observation, but she did not care about any of this.

Pros

The one bright spot at Oxa is the incredibly talented team—especially the software engineers, who are some of the smartest and most driven people you’ll meet. They're often the ones leading the charge and finding solutions despite the lack of real leadership. Unfortunately, even their brilliance isn't enough to outweigh the broader issues, and many end up leaving in search of better environments where their efforts are truly valued.

Cons

Oxa is a deeply disappointing place to work. Leadership is weak and unaccountable, with managers quick to deflect blame rather than own up to issues. The CEO is virtually invisible—more of a PR figure than an actual leader—and fails to provide any meaningful direction or support. Promises made during hiring are consistently broken, leaving employees frustrated and disillusioned. Overall, the culture is toxic and the company falls far short of what it claims to be.
