Run - don't walk - from a job offer at Oxford Seminars

Pros

Very few, if any. Probably the regular, rank-and-file staff is the only good thing about this company. While turnover is very high, most people who work there are nice, and bond with each other over the poor work environment.

Cons

There is only one, and it is management. Incompetent, overbearing, arrogant, and abusive. Do a Google search for 'signs of bad management' or 'signs of a bad manager' and what you find describes the Oxford Seminars management team to a 'T'. And forget about going to HR if you have an issue; they will invariably side with the company, or do nothing at all. *Disclaimer* My intent in writing this review is not to bash Oxford Seminars. This is only meant as sincere warning to those people who may be interested in working for them. Don't. You will regret it.

Pros

The employees (in other words, non-management) who work at Oxford Seminars were always very nice and extremely capable.

Cons

- Dysfunctional, incompetent, and abusive management, including HR. Don't believe a word of the most recent positive reviews here on Glassdoor; they are most likely written by management themselves. And rest assured that the negative reviews are NOT written by one person. They may all sound similar, but that's because they are written by people who have had the same horrible experience. Trust me, I know most of them. - Outdated programs and curriculum. Management spends the majority of its time micromanaging mundane day-to-day activities, while the company falls further behind its competitors in the quality of product it offers.

Pros

Coworkers form strong bonds (typically, due to shared hostile feelings)

Cons

Management from top to bottom micro-managed work to the point that there was no room for employees to take initiative or feel engaged in their work. The information provided during the interview process regarding the position was inaccurate and extremely misleading. Employees are essentially rated and ranked publicly.
