Pros

None. Zero. Nada. Zip. Naught.

Cons

This privately held company cuts overhead by providing limited office space and the lure of telecommuting--which sounds great until you realize that you have no life while you are working here. You are expected to answer emails at night (2 am) and weekends -- and 60 hour workweeks are the norm. For this, you get....lower than average salaries, zero appreciation, no chance for promotion, and empty titles like "Achiever" and "Super Achiever" that garner nothing for the recipients. They used the 2008 economic downturn for at least 5 years as a reason nobody could get a raise (while they expanded, bought companies, etc)--just because you're privately held doesn't mean we don't see the gold coins rattling down the chute, folks. The training was the WORST I've ever seen--and changes to new systems are so poorly managed that I had to resort to youtube to understand what my idiotic department manager could not teach. It's the closest thing to a scam I've ever encountered. You have no life when you work here, you get no training, no promotion, and no rewards. Everybody leaves--except the few middling range managers who criticize nothing, stand up for nobody, and carve out a niche where they can park their fat behinds and avoid actually managing anyone. Bottom line; if you have a college degree, you should not work here. Better compensation, training, and advancement awaits you at many other pharma/medical and promotional agencies.

While I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and there are definitely nuggets of information here we can use to better ourselves, I have to respectfully disagree with some of what you’ve put forward. After all, in our fields of activity, our real value in the company rests in our people. If you are an Achiever, you will be rewarded for your hard work. Our remote working culture is intended to enable a sustainable work/life balance and we’re working on programs to help develop the skills of team leaders in making them better coaches equipped at providing meaningful feedback and growing their people. At the same time, you’re absolutely right that there are areas we need to improve. I like to think everyone does and we’re no exception. It’s unfortunate you had a negative experience at P\S\L, but just know we are working to continually evolve our working environment to ensure a motivating and rewarding environment for all. I’m really proud of the passion our employees carry in the pursuit of success.

Pros

Good benefits, okay pay and a few nice people.

Cons

One of the most siloed, backstabbing, blame-throwing and unsupportive places I've ever worked. I seriously doubt they'll still be in business in a year.

We’re always sorry when one of our employees seems not to be finding professional fulfillment with us. We genuinely strive to support all our employees; doing otherwise would not be in our interest. It’s inevitable in any organization to encounter different personalities and working styles. Different doesn’t necessarily mean incompatible. However occasionally, for example when very talented and passionate people strongly believe in and adamantly want to pursue an approach that happens to be incompatible with that of the organization at large, frustration can arise. Since you cared enough to give us feedback, we’d like to help; please reach out to a trusted manager or other senior person who can work with you toward some resolution and mutual success.

Horrible culture

Pros

The people at the "worker level" are generally very good, but the culture is really bad.

Cons

The company is owned by one guy. If he doesn't want to do it, it doesn't get done. He doesn't really believe that having a website makes sense -- because your competitors will steal your ideas. (Check out their websites and you'll see they make no effort there.) He also places no value on family. He once said at a company meeting that we should put work first over family. We all looked at each other, thinking he must have just said it backwards. I mean, who would say that out loud, even if you did think it. But he went on to call people out by name and criticize them for putting family first. I don't begrudge him anything since he built and owns the company, but it isn't someplace I want to work.
