Pros

Free Snacks and drinks for employees ,they probably spent 100 for whole office

Cons

Truly one of the most unapologetically and unorganized places I have ever had the misfortune to work at in all my years. I admit I ignored the Glassdoor reviews, thinking the new people were overreacting. I thought this would be a good learning experience and to learn new and fresh ideas. (Spoiler: you will do nothing but deal with inept ceo and PDM ). But every review that mentions high turnover, untrustworthy management, random layoff, they will layoff will you left and right. This company will tell you there are changes to address the past but we kept waiting and waiting to see when they will actually happen. Nothing changes except the constant new overseas faces brought in to replace the people who decided enough was enough and left or laying . The average new employee will last around 1-10 months(Cause they will layoff or fire you for no reason.Don't worry if people will leave anyway) The people who will be your managers are fully aware of this company's history and actively partake and contribute to the toxicity. Even lower mangers buy into this mentality. You think you can hide from P97's true nature, you think you can stay out of the way and just be a good employee and do the work that's asked of you, but you will never fully escape the harm this place does to you. You will eventually be roped into something despite your ethics. The high stress, long hours (8am-6pm), no sick days, no WFH, if you are work from home HR going to deduct your hours from PTO. No one deserves to go through that. All for a bag of Fritos and and underpaid salary at the end of the day. Could go on but should wrap this up. Some quick other points are: -No training for any role -No long term goal in sight -Competitors bought out with intentions of integrating them, but neglected and eventually lose those employees -Losing legacy employees -CEO inept ,he's trying his best to show off portfolio and sell -No long term system to develop or contribute to -Feedback? How did you let go your whole marketing team? Dev-Your dev team already under stress, you are replacing team with cheap labor ? QA - Over working ,mostly interns from College (According to higher it's cheap to hire interns -When they are contributing like Full time employee) DevOps- Few team member Offshore-Cheap Offshore isn't always the option Over hired ?I hope you are joking ,all of your team struggling

A few points of clarification to the comments above. P97 has a hybrid work model which includes designated office and remote days. We value the increased collaboration during our office days paired with the flexibility of working remote. Any approved request to Work from Home during a designated office day is not deducted from your Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual. With respect to sick time, P97 elected to have one bank of PTO in lieu of having separate PTO and Sick Time allotments to allow employees to use their PTO in the manner that fits them based. P97 has separate PTO and Sick Time allotments for those employees working in states with mandatory paid sick leave legislation. Additionally, our retention rate for our new team members hired in 2022 is approximately 75%. Again, thank you for your feedback and please reach out to your Manager or Human Resources with any questions regarding benefits or policies.

Pros

Decent pay Some of the team is talented

Cons

Not ideal for remote workers Horrible people management Be ready to work late nights and weekend without any comp off Micro management Couple of leadership folks are super arrogant. During interview one of VP was chewing gum and didnt have basic courtesy to introduce themselves. A bunch amateurs / interns hired in some roles. Good folks but clearly not treated or trained well Random lay offs STAY AWAY On remote working dont bother to turn on camera from all the way from top.

A few points of clarification to the comments above. P97 has a hybrid work model which includes designated office and remote days for our Houston-based employees. We value the increased collaboration during our office days paired with the flexibility of working remote. Additionally, with respect to the “random layoffs” mentioned above. Regrettably, we over-hired in several groups resulting in one reduction of force last year. Additionally, our technology investments automated some processes that were traditionally manual. We did not make the reduction in force decision lightly, but it was necessary considering current conditions.

Pros

Chaotic at best ,not much you can get

Cons

Management is unorganized They do not give raises Promotions, yes!!, Raises for that Promotion NO!! They do not treat genders the same (I've heard with my own ears Management complaining women are too soft and shouldn't be there and how he hates working with them. (They also are paid less ) No training on anything. They throw ppl for team to team with no warning or knowledge of what the team is working on. Scrum is a joke! Management (some) instead of helping ignores the staff! Revolving door.

Thank you for taking the time to write the review. A point of clarification with respect to the “laying off people for no reason” mentioned above. Regrettably, we over-hired in several groups resulting in a reduction of force last year. Additionally, our technology investments automated some processes that were traditionally manual. We did not make the reduction in force decision lightly, but it was necessary considering current conditions. With respect to your comment referencing “not giving raises”, approximately 75% of our employees received merit increases in 2022.
