Pros

-Decent Pay -Some room for advancement -No dress code -Mostly laid back -Good location, near lots of great food options and transit options -Mixed coworkers of all ages and backgrounds -Good benefits

Cons

-Confusion and frustration throughout all the departments -Bad workers do not get fired simply because they're been there a long time -Too much work put onto the shoulders of those who work hardest, while the rest of the employees have lots of down time. If you work hard, most likely you will not be rewarded financially - instead, you will be expected to work extremely hard at all times -Toxic management, catty gossip, loudness -Kids running amok around the office whenever their parents allow it -Incompetent HR department

Data Entry

Pros

No pros. Low pay, dead-end job and unprofessional work environment.

Cons

The young woman who was training me set me up for failure. It was a simple data entry job and she told me not to focus on entering all data the first few days. As a result, i was let go 2 days in bc they said " I wasn't grasping the job well" I'm college-educated and only took the job bc I wanted to move up to investigator (Considering I was a P.I. for several yrs) but was let go from a ridiculously easy job bc the trainer clearly didn't like me and said something to the manager to terminate me. Very unprofessional work environment. I witnessed a screaming fight btw co-workers my first few days.

Pros

-location, lots of good food nearby and great stores -you will learn a lot, but due to their "sink or swim" environment and training -Not hard to stand out as an excellent employee due to low standards and the need for a good worker

Cons

-unprofessional -small office -I've witnessed abusive behavior from management and owner of company (expect to hear lots of cursing) -low pay for big responsibilities (they try to maximize their profit from paying people as little as possible) -unorganized, all departments are in disarray and everything is a fire drill everyday -poor management (you will either get blamed unfairly, there will be favoritism, and they will tell you to just deal with the mountain of problems on your desk) -poor HR system (practically non-existent) -high school atmosphere ( most people here haven't had a real job and are lowly paid) -High stress environment -Poor team environment -Poor training (you get little to no help and management is too busy to help anyone) -Little room for advancement -Health insurance and benefits are a joke -Overtime not allowed for hourly employees -1/2 hour lunch -bad culture and morale -high turnover, people quitting all the time
