Disappointing Environment

Pros

Interesting work and nice colleagues

Cons

Company changed from original culture, which changed after new investors. It is clear that the CEO has his favorite employees who worked with him at other companies who he protects. And during a recent company meeting where he shared a reorg and made a joke of it. He protects the legal and insurance and IR teams. There is no accountability from these teams. They can do what they want. No one else matters. And there is no accountability.

Pros

The branding is strong, and they know how to pitch.

Cons

Behind the scenes, it was a mess. The pressure to meet goals came with no tools, no training, and no strategic vision. You're tossed in and told to sink or swim, but most drown. This wasn't growth- it was exploitation with a smile.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We genuinely value feedback from former employees, as it helps us improve. While we strive to provide ample resources and training opportunities, we understand that not everyone may be aware of them. It is essential for employees to feel comfortable reaching out for assistance, as we cannot address challenges unless they are communicated. Your insights emphasize the importance of fostering a culture that encourages asking for support. We will continue to ensure that all team members feel equipped and empowered to succeed. - Pondurance’s People Operations Team

Disheartening Leadership

Pros

The people are great. Talented and passionate team members. Supportive HR team that genuinely cares about employee well-being. Opportunities for personal growth and good benefits. These are the reasons I stayed for as long as I did and why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Cons

As a former employee, I feel obligated to share my experience and how Pondurance has changed. Executive leadership is driving this company into the ground. Voices are shut down and steamrolled by those at the top. No point in voicing a concern because it won't matter unless you are in the favored circle who can do no wrong and has no accountability. Leadership claims to value transparency and open communication, yet their actions constantly contradict that. There's a growing disconnect between the executives and the employees on the ground. Decisions are made behind closed doors without input from those actually affected and are implemented with little or no advanced notice. This is a large part of what has been destroying morale and culture. It’s frustrating to witness the erosion of the collaborative environment Pondurance once had. From what I've heard it is still alive at the team level, but with this leadership it will soon die out as good people continue to leave. Pondurance needs leaders who have self awareness and respect, rather than impose their will with disregard for the people and culture this company was built on.
